Giuseppe Manai leads innovation strategy and delivery at NEXT, NCS’ digital services arm. He helps clients harness AI, GenAI, Video, and Robotics to build end-to-end digital solutions that translate advanced technology into measurable business value.

With more than 20 years of experience in Data Science across academia, government, and industry, Giuseppe brings deep expertise in Artificial Intelligence such as GenAI, machine learning, optimisation, network analytics, and big data technologies. He has driven large-scale data strategies across supply chain optimisation, mobility intelligence, telco analytics, and credit risk modelling—turning complex science into scalable business assets.

An entrepreneur at heart, he has found startups and led corporate teams to execute innovation programs with both commercial and social impact.

He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and co-founded the Singapore chapter of its Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (ACM SIGKDD).

Dr Sunil Sivadas has been appointed as our Distinguished Engineer from 1 Aug 2022. Sunil is currently the Practice Lead for NEXT Gen Tech and has been with us at NCS since 2018, bringing with him 17 years of experience within the Artificial Intelligence domain. His role as Practice Lead focuses on growing the practice’s deep tech data science capabilities, creating strong partnerships and building the AI community in NCS. His domain specialties include, but are not limited to: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, Computer Vision, and Time Series Prediction.

He currently holds 6 patents in Artificial Intelligence and Computing, has published in top tier journals and participated actively as an expert in various industry conferences. As the Deputy Director of the Singtel AI Lab in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, he sets the vision for research and manages teams working on projects across areas such as Computer Vision and Robotics. 

In NCS, Sunil led many innovative projects including developing a multi-modal AI system using natural language processing and computer vision, that was demonstrated at the opening of the Shenzhen Innovation Center, Ins8.ai – a Conversational AI system for Singaporean English and Expressive voice synthesis for Breeze navigation application.

Additionally, he is heavily involved in the mentorship of other specialists within his domain, facilitating and nurturing young talents to create impactful solutions in NCS. He is also a Volunteer Career Advisor at WSG and co-organises Hackathons for school students as part of the Singapore Malayalee Association.

Sunil holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Oregon Health and Science University, Master of Technology in Electronic Design from the Indian Institute of Science and Bachelor of Technology in Electronic and Communication Engineering with the University of Calicut. He most recently attended the Product Strategy Executive Education Programme with the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management in September 2021 and completed a General Management Programme with National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School in 2019.
