NCS and Autonomous A2Z collaborate to advance trusted, secure autonomous mobility
- NCS and South Korea’s Autonomous A2Z collaborate to deliver secure, intelligent, autonomous mobility for public sector and enterprise use
- Combines A2Z’s autonomous vehicle platforms with NCS’ strengths in large-scale systems integration, sovereign AI, and cybersecurity
- Joint roadmap includes demonstrations, pilot deployments, and technical knowledge transfer
Singapore, 2 March 2026 – NCS and Autonomous A2Z today announced a collaboration to speed up the development and rollout of trusted autonomous mobility solutions in Singapore.
The companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that brings together A2Z’s advanced autonomous driving technologies and NCS’ expertise in secure, locally governed AI and mission-critical systems integration.
Under the MOU, A2Z contributes its full-stack autonomous vehicle platforms, engineering expertise, and technical know-how, while NCS brings its large-scale systems integration, sovereign AI, and cybersecurity capabilities to operationalise these technologies.
NCS will lead the integration in building intelligence into autonomous vehicle deployments and ensuring autonomous systems operate safely, consistently, and within regulatory boundaries. This builds on NCS’ experience in delivering essential systems across public sector and infrastructure domains, where resilience, security and governance are key.
The joint roadmap includes piloting and rolling out new solutions as well as sharing expertise between both teams. This will also involve upgrading selected operational vehicles with autonomous features and improving the data they provide, giving teams better real time visibility and reporting to strengthen safety, oversight, and compliance.
This collaboration strengthens NCS’ ability to meet Singapore’s growing autonomous mobility needs and tackle long term manpower challenges. It supports higher productivity and competitiveness amid a tightening labour market and reflects continued investment in robotics and deep tech innovation. This also reinforces NCS’ position as a leading technology services provider as global demand for Physical AI accelerates.
“In uniting A2Z’s world-class platforms with NCS’ deep expertise and capabilites, we turn leading-edge technology into robust and scalable operations in the autonomous vehicle space,” said Sam Liew, NCS CEO-Designate. “With this, NCS is enhancing our ability to meet Singapore’s rising robotics needs, address manpower challenges and help organisations boost productivity as Physical AI adoption accelerates.”
“This collaboration represents a significant milestone in advancing the safe and scalable deployment of autonomous driving technology,” said Jihyeong Han, CEO of A2Z. “By integrating A2Z’s full-stack autonomous driving platform with NCS’ expertise in systems integration, sovereign AI, and cybersecurity, we are paving the way toward a trusted and resilient autonomous mobility ecosystem.”
Founded in 2018 by CEO Jihyeong Han and three former Hyundai Motor Group autonomous driving engineers, Autonomous A2Z is one of Korea's leading autonomous driving companies. The company operates the nation's largest fleet of autonomous vehicles, with experience running 82 autonomous vehicles nationwide and has accumulated approximately 940,000 kilometers of autonomous driving mileage—the highest in Korea's urban autonomous driving sector.
Leveraging this experience, A2Z develops a range of future mobility services, including urban autonomous shuttles and smart logistics mobility solutions, with a focus on safe and efficient commercialization of autonomous driving technology. In 2024, the company completed development of its Level 4 autonomous vehicle, ROii, and plans to pursue full commercialization following performance certification testing in 2026.
A2Z is also accelerating its global expansion. The company established a Singapore joint venture, A2G (Autonomous to Global), with global expansion partner KILSA Global, secured the COSMO smart city project in Singapore, and became the first Korean company to obtain a local autonomous driving license (M1). In the UAE, A2Z formed a joint venture with AI company Space42, marking the first such partnership for a Korean autonomous driving firm, and in Japan, it signed an MOU with trading company Kanematsu to explore entry into the Japanese autonomous driving market.
Through collaborations spanning mobility services for transportation-disadvantaged populations and smart logistics solutions, Autonomous A2Z continues to drive sustainable innovation in future mobility.
