Mr Ong Chao Choon is a non-executive Board Director of Sembcorp Industries Limited, Community Foundation of Singapore, and the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism.
 
Chao Choon previously worked in PwC for over 30 years, where he was a partner and held various leadership positions, including Deputy Chairman and Advisory Leader of PwC Singapore and Managing Partner of PwC Myanmar. He qualified as an accountant in Singapore and Australia, and has accumulated a wealth of experience in mergers and acquisitions, and auditing.  He was formerly a board member and the audit committee chairman of Singapore Food Agency, National Environment Agency and Republic Polytechnic, and was awarded the Public Service Medal in 2017.

Chao Choon holds a first-class honours in Accountancy from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Finance from Nanyang Business School, and is a fellow of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand.
