The challenge:
The ministry was under growing pressure to support an AI- and cloud-first strategy, but its legacy storage infrastructure had reached its limits. It couldn’t efficiently handle container-based services needed for AI model training. Manual backups, long provisioning cycles, and limited scalability slowed progress. With limited space at its data centre, expansion wasn’t a viable option.
The solution:
With support from NCS, the ministry transitioned to an all-flash, power-efficient storage architecture powered by Everpure. It selected FlashArray™ and FlashBlade® to deliver high performance for traditional and cloud-native applications, while reducing energy use and operational complexity.
FlashArray’s high deduplication rates enabled data reduction of up to 7:1, significantly cutting energy and space demands. Immutable snapshots through SafeMode™ ensured data could be restored rapidly and securely, even during accidental deletion or cyber threats.
Training staff on the new platform took hours instead of days. Portworx® simplified container management and orchestration, allowing developers to spin up environments faster and test AI models more freely - empowering experimentation with lower risk.
