Reagan has always been a tech enthusiast since a young age. When he first joined NCS three years ago as a backend developer, his appetite for technology naturally drew him toward researching and experimenting with artificial intelligence.
Today, as a Senior AI Mission Engineer within NCS AI Central, Reagan helps organisations navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape, whilst positioning NCS as a strong long-term technical partner. Operating across the Public Sector, Transport, Central Government, and Education sectors, he bridges business needs and technical possibilities, helping customers turn ideas into practical solutions that create meaningful impact.

From coding to solving bigger problems
Reagan's journey at NCS has been shaped by a willingness to keep learning and exploring beyond his initial role. During his stint, he gradually expanded his roles to venture into technical leadership, pre-sales and solution architecture. His ability to connect deep technical expertise with strategic thinking has prompted his mentors to encourage him to leverage his coding background to help customers understand and adopt complex solutions.
One project Reagan is particularly proud of is the Genomics project with one of the Public Sector clients. Tasked with connecting data across multiple sources to support Singapore animal and food safety monitoring, he experimented with different approaches before developing a custom solution that resolved the challenge.
“Seeing something I worked on from the very beginning actually come to fruition was incredibly rewarding,” he shares. “Ultimately, the solution helped researchers identify potential outbreaks and DNA patterns earlier to improve Singapore food safety.”
Exploring with breadth and depth
In a field that evolves rapidly, Reagan believes continuous learning is essential.
He adopts a “breadth first, then depth” approach, keeping up with emerging trends and developments across the AI landscape before diving into the tools, platforms and frameworks most relevant to his work. “AI changes incredibly quickly, and being comfortable with what we already know is one of the easiest ways to fall behind,” he points out. “For me, Adventure is about maintaining that willingness to explore something unfamiliar and keep pushing ourselves to become better.”
The same mindset has shaped his career journey.
“Don’t be afraid to ask for opportunities outside your existing job scope. If there’s something you want to try, it’s always worth asking. Worst case scenario is a ‘no’ - One small decision can completely change the direction of your career.”
Empowering the next generation
The same belief in unlocking potential also guides Reagan's life outside of work.
For nearly five years, he has spent his Saturday mornings tutoring and mentoring children from lower-income and single-parent households. Beyond academics, he is equally passionate about helping young people build confidence and overcome personal challenges.
“I don’t think you are ever too young or too old to start contributing back,” he reflects.
Just as technology can create new opportunities for people to learn and grow, Reagan believes that showing up with the right heart can leave a lasting, positive impact on the lives of others.
