When Jancy joined NCS 27 years ago, business operations looked very different. It was a world of manual project creation, spreadsheets, physical paperwork, and endless rounds of follow-ups across sales and project teams.
Today, Jancy leads the Business Support team within Business Operations, overseeing the end-to-end sales-to-project lifecycle. Her team operates at the vital crossroads where Sales, Project Managers, Finance, and delivery teams intersect, ensuring that projects are grounded in operational accuracy and strong financial controls.
From transactional processing to strategic partnership
Over nearly three decades, Jancy has spearheaded a profound shift: transforming Business Support from a transaction-heavy processing desk into a strategic advisory partner.
She recalls early days spent manually verifying cost sheets and reconciling data across systems. Recognising that repetitive friction was slowing teams down, Jancy championed digital transformation from within—driving Robotic Process Automation, system enhancements, and interactive dashboards to automate core workflows like sales registration and billing plan management.
“These improvements are never just about technology,” Jancy explains. “It was about reducing repetitive work so our people could move away from manual checks and focus on advisory, governance, and early risk mitigation.” Today, as she explores how AI can further assist in decision-making, her guiding principle remains unchanged: operational integrity is what gives the wider business the confidence to move forward.
Owning the outcome and moving as one
For Jancy, leadership is rooted in two core NCS values: Ownership and Unity.
Her personal philosophy is simple: “Own the outcome, improve the process, and grow together.” To her, ownership means refusing to stop at “I’ve finished my part”—it means seeing cross-functional discrepancies through to the finish line, whether collaborating with local delivery units or the international support team.

When mentoring colleagues on building an impactful, long-lasting career, Jancy stresses that meaningful change often begins in the everyday details: “You don’t need to wait for a massive initiative to make a difference. Impact starts by noticing a recurring bottleneck, asking why it happens, and taking the initiative to fix it. Small improvements sustained over time create monumental shifts.”
Recharging and finding rhythm
Outside of leading operations, Jancy approaches her personal life with the same focus on endurance, connection, and pacing. Whether strategising over a board game or going for a jog, Jancy believes that balance is what keeps the mind sharp—bringing renewed clarity, energy, and perspective back to the team she champions every day.
