NCS’ N-Able Me! empowers over 130 primary school students with early AI and coding skills.

  • NCS’ flagship N-Able Me! Initiative returns for the fourth year, more than doubling its reach to benefit over 130 Primary 3 to 6 students from lower-income families with foundational digital and AI skills.
  • Organised in collaboration with MSF ComLink+, Yayasan MENDAKI, and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, with Senior Minister of State Mr. Goh Pei Ming as Guest-of-Honour.
  • Students took part in hands-on coding, AI, and robotics workshops designed to spark curiosity and build confidence in technology.

Singapore, 2 November 2026 - Over 130 primary school students from lower-income families got a head start with AI and coding this weekend as NCS more than doubled the reach of its flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, N-Able Me!, that took place on Saturday, 31 October 2026 at the NCS Hub.

Dedicated to uplifting students through technology, the initiative was organised in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) ComLink+, Yayasan MENDAKI, and The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund. By equipping young minds with foundational digital skills, NCS aims to level the playing field and ensure that early access to technology is extended to every child regardless of socio-economic background.

Sam Liew, CEO at NCS, shared, “Technology should be an inclusive enabler. At NCS, we believe that the benefits of AI and digital innovation should be accessible to everyone. Through N-Able Me!, we are actively democratising tech education by giving young students direct, hands-on experience with coding and generative AI. By equipping our youth with these foundational tools, we empower them to envision new possibilities for their future and inspire them to see themselves as builders in the AI era.”

Curated Tech Workshops for the Next Generation

Supported by a dedicated team of NCS tech volunteers, each edition of the programme features an interactive curriculum designed to make learning engaging and accessible.

Past editions have included workshops to learn and use the graphic design tool Canva, and a partnership with the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) to teach the students basic lifesaving skills.

Key segments at this year's event included:

  • Micro:bit Workshop: A three-hour, hands-on session where students learnt the fundamentals of coding using Micro:bit programmable devices. The module culminated in a collaborative group activity to build a functional game. To encourage continued exploration, students were equipped with take-home Micro:bit devices to spark lifelong curiosity and self-directed learning.
  • Superhero AI and Robotics Booth: Using an app developed by NCS employees, students explored the creative potential of Generative AI by designing their "dream job" superhero and taking home a generated AI image of themselves in character. The experience was complemented by hands-on robotics activities, where students had the opportunity to learn and interact with robots.
  • AI Masterclass: A 1.5-hour interactive session where students learnt foundational AI concepts and prompting techniques through engaging challenges and practical applications.

Mr. Goh Pei Ming, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Social & Family Development & Ministry of Home Affairs, graced the event as the Guest-of-Honour and presented certificates and prizes to the participating students at the closing ceremony. He said, “Every child should have the opportunity to discover their strengths and pursue their aspirations, regardless of their family circumstances. Through ComLink+, we work closely with families and partners across the community to help children access opportunities that can broaden their horizons and build their confidence. Programmes like N-Able Me! show that when Government, community and corporate partners come together, we can give our children a better start and empower them to build a brighter future.”
