Job Description
Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and implementing large-scale IT projects with quality, within scope, and ensuring deliverables are on time. The role ensures that deliverables conform to processes and standards while meeting customer requirements.
What will you do?
- Analyse and document requirements by liaising with users and managers
- Establish and prepare project plans, risk management plans, milestones, and deliverables
- Manage project implementation daily with regard to schedules, budget, manpower, and quality
- Define and manage scope, including change control mechanisms
- Escalate and discuss project overruns, scope creep, integration issues, and resource needs with leadership
- Manage integration of hardware, software, testing, business processes, applications, and data conversion
- Monitor project activities and critical path to ensure timely delivery and adjust schedules as needed
- Manage resources including hardware, software, personnel, and logistics to ensure budget adherence
- Review project documentation for compliance with customer requirements and quality standards
- Define project resources, conduct performance reviews, and perform post-implementation evaluations
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
Essential Qualifications
- Due to government project sensitivity, we will only consider Singapore Citizen
- Degree in Information Systems or equivalent
- Typically 9 years IT project management experience
- Experience in development, implementation, and support of IT projects in varied organizations
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel as required
Professional and/or Technical Certifications
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred.
ADDITIONS
- Negotiate with vendors and teams to secure adequate resources
- Build relationships with users, technical staff, and management to resolve issues
- Manage contracts and subcontractors
- Negotiate with customers on change requests, schedules, and priorities
- Communicate openly with customers on project issues and clarifications
- Identify opportunities for expansion or improvement of services and liaise with Account Managers
- Participate in pre-sales activities
- Liaise with team members to ensure tasks and deliverables are on schedule
- Plan, track, and monitor tasks assigned to team members
- Delegate tasks effectively with clear instructions and goals
- Provide leadership ensuring proposals and enhancements are analysed and evaluated
- Provide accurate information to teams on business needs and priorities
- Participate in leadership activities, provide feedback, and developmental coaching
- Monitor and improve team performance through leadership and performance management
