Gerard Koh leads the HR function in NCS and working closely with the NCS senior leadership team to develop and deliver the people strategy to support NCS’ continuous growth and transformation to a Global Digital solutions partner. This includes strategic workforce planning, skills transformation, leadership development, organisation culture, and HR Future of Work technology and processes.
Other than ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services, Gerard is also a change agent, mandated to drive the transformation of NCS' human capital development, organisation structure and culture.
Prior to working in NCS, Gerard was the Chief Corporate Officer and CHRO of SMRT Corporation for 6 years, where he transformed HR practices into a progressive, industry leading, and award-winning force of change. He oversaw the Infocomms, Training, Procurement and Organisational Excellence functions in SMRT's Corporate Services Division, and drove initiatives to improve efficiency, Kaizen, and value creation, through the adoption of innovative process change and data drive technology.
Gerard started off his career in the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF). He has held key leadership appointments in diverse HR roles in strategic workforce planning, change management and implementation, recruitment, HR business partnering, employee engagement and resource management. He left as a Colonel after 24 years of service.
Gerard holds a Master of Science (Management) with Distinction from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (2nd Upper) from the National University of Singapore. Gerard is an ardent fan of Liverpool football club and its motto “You’ll never walk alone” rings true in life.
